Orthodontist in Fond du Lac, WI

Bright Orthodontics has a full orthodontic office in Fond du Lac, at 200 S Marr St. Dr. Adam Veit is a board-certified orthodontist, and he treats children, teens and adults here. Care includes braces, LightForce® 3D-printed braces and Invisalign® clear aligners. Call (920) 922-9220 to request an appointment. Dr. Adam Veit grew up in Fond du Lac. He was born here and raised here. His father spent a career in medicine in this city. So when we call our Fond du Lac office a hometown office, we mean it plainly. The office sits on S Marr St, a short drive from downtown and from Lakeside Park. Families come to us from every part of the city. They come from the villages and farm towns around it too. If you are looking for an orthodontist in Fond du Lac, we would like to be the practice you call first.

Why Fond du Lac Families Choose Bright Orthodontics

  • Local roots that are real. Plenty of practices say they are part of the community. Dr. Veit grew up in this one. He went to school here, and his family has cared for Fond du Lac patients for decades.
  • A 5.0 star rating. Our Fond du Lac office holds a 5.0 star Google rating across 51 reviews. All four Bright Orthodontics offices hold 5.0 stars, across 272 reviews in total. A rating does not straighten teeth. But a perfect rating held across four separate communities says something about how families get treated when a day does not go to plan.
  • One team, four offices. If Fond du Lac is not convenient one week, you can be seen at our Oshkosh office instead. Our Ripon office and Berlin office are open to you as well. Same doctor, same records, same plan.
  • Straight answers about money. Braces are a real investment for a family, and vague answers help nobody. We explain the fee, the payment options and the likely insurance coverage before treatment starts. We also offer family discounts when more than one person in a household starts treatment. Our orthodontic financing page lays it all out.
  • Technology that earns its place. Digital scanning instead of impression trays. 3D-printed custom brackets. Aligner planning by an orthodontist with fellowship-level aligner training. We adopt tools that improve treatment or make it more comfortable, not tools that simply photograph well.

Getting to Our Fond du Lac Office

Our Fond du Lac office is at 200 S Marr St, on the south side of downtown.

Two highways shape how most patients reach us. US-41 is the main north and south route through this part of Wisconsin, and it links Fond du Lac with Oshkosh and the Fox Valley. WI-23 runs east and west through the city along the Johnson Street corridor. If you are coming from a farm town east or west of the city, WI-23 is usually the road you are already on.

The office is also close to the middle of town. SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital sits on East Division Street, a short drive north and east of us. Moraine Park Technical College is on the west side of the city. If you already know downtown Fond du Lac, you already know where we are.

About Fond du Lac, the Community We Serve

Fond du Lac sits at the south end of Lake Winnebago. The name means “foot of the lake,” and the city has spent its whole history facing that water.

Lakeside Park is the shared front yard. It runs to about 146 acres along the lake at 555 N Park Avenue. It has the lighthouse everyone photographs, a marina, a petting zoo, a splash pad, amusement rides and ball diamonds. Half the childhoods in this city include a summer afternoon there. A good number of our patients arrive for appointments straight from it.

Downtown Fond du Lac is a working Main Street, not a museum piece. There are monthly street events in the warm months and a Sunday farmers market. Galloway House and Village keeps the older half of the city’s story. Moraine Park Technical College has anchored the west side since 1912 and keeps a steady stream of adult students in town. That matters to us more than it might seem. A fair share of our adult patients are people who decided, at last, to finish something they started.

The city is big enough to have choices and small enough that word travels. That is the market we have worked in for years. We have never had the luxury of being anonymous here, and we would not want it.

We also serve the smaller communities around the city. North Fond du Lac is its own village, not a neighborhood of the city, and we see families from there regularly. We treat patients from Oakfield and Mayville as well, along with the farm towns in between.

The Fond du Lac School District runs the city’s elementary and middle schools, and we see students from all of them. We schedule around the school day whenever we can. A student can finish class and be in our chair without losing a whole afternoon.

Dr. Adam Veit Grew Up in Fond du Lac

Most orthodontists move to the town they practice in. Dr. Veit came home to his.

He was born and raised in Fond du Lac. His father is Kirk Veit, a retired pediatrician who served as Medical Director of Agnesian HealthCare. Fond du Lac families will know the name. Agnesian is the hospital system that today operates as SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital on East Division Street. Growing up around that kind of practice shapes how a person thinks about care. It is where the phrase “the medical model of prevention” comes from in our office, and we still use it.

Dr. Veit is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. That took years of work after dental school. He earned his DDS at the University of Minnesota. He completed a full orthodontic residency through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program. He also earned a master’s degree from the Uniformed Services University. Before coming home, Dr. Veit practiced in the United States, Japan and Italy, and he served nine years as a Naval Officer.

That is an unusual path for a small Wisconsin city. It is also the reason he can look at a hard case and know what has actually worked, rather than what is simply in fashion.

A specialist, not a sideline

Orthodontics is all Dr. Veit does. He does not clean teeth or fill cavities. He moves teeth and guides jaw growth, every working day.

In this market, plenty of braces and aligners are sold by general dentists. That is a real option, and families should choose it with clear eyes. The difference is simply depth. A general dentist cares for the whole mouth. An orthodontist trains for years past dental school in one narrow thing. When a case turns out harder than it looked at the first visit, that depth is what you are paying for.

You also do not need a referral to see us. Many Fond du Lac families call us directly. Our why choose us page walks through the difference, and our board certification page explains what the credential actually involves.

Orthodontic Care for Fond du Lac Families

Every smile is unique, which is why Bright Orthodontics provides customized orthodontic solutions for children, teens, and adults. From traditional braces to advanced clear aligner treatment, we’re committed to delivering comfortable, efficient care with lasting results.

Braces for children and teens

Metal braces are still the workhorse of orthodontics. They handle almost every case. They are always working, because they never come out. Today's brackets are also much smaller than the ones parents remember. Clear ceramic brackets are an option for patients who would rather not be obvious about it. Start with our braces overview, or compare the types of braces we offer.

LightForce 3D-printed braces

LightForce brackets are 3D printed for one patient. They are designed from a digital scan of that patient's own teeth. Instead of picking brackets off a standard tray, Dr. Veit designs a bracket for each tooth. The material is translucent, so it blends with tooth color. The whole plan is digital, which means no trays of impression putty. Our LightForce braces page has the full explanation.

Invisalign clear aligners

Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and wires. You take them out to eat and to brush. You move to the next set on the schedule Dr. Veit sets. Not every case is a good aligner case, and you will get an honest answer about that at the first visit. See our Invisalign page for how treatment works and who it suits.

Early treatment for younger children

The American Association of Orthodontists suggests a first check-up around age seven. Most seven-year-olds we see need nothing at all yet. A note to check back next year is a perfectly good result. For the smaller group who do need help, an early look can catch a crossbite or a crowding problem while the jaw is still growing. Fixing it then can make later treatment simpler. See early orthodontic treatment.

Teens and adults

Teenagers are the classic orthodontic patient, and we plan around school photos, sports and instruments. Adults are a growing part of the practice too. Adult treatment is often quieter and shorter than people expect. See teen treatment and adult orthodontics.

Adult Orthodontics

Adult orthodontic treatment improves alignment, bite function, and overall smile appearance using modern techniques designed for comfort, efficiency, and long-term stability.

"Bright Orthodontics is absolutely amazing! They are fantastic with little kids and know exactly how to make them feel comfortable and at ease in the chair. The entire staff is incredibly understanding and patient with all our questions. I love how open and transparent they are about the treatment processes, so there are never any surprises. On top of the stellar care, their services are actually affordable, and they work with you to make it fit your budget. Highly recommend them to any family in Wisconsin looking for top-notch orthodontic care!"
I am glad that I chose Bright Orthodontics, Dr. Veit and his team, for my son’s braces and jaw expansion. They are always so welcoming and helpful when we arrive for appointments and when I call to ask questions about any concerns I may be having, as this is my first time having a child who has had to have braces. The other great thing I love is that they have in house financing available with an affordable down payment that works with your budget to pay for this investment in your child’s new smile or even yours. I have attached my son’s written review on what he thinks of Bright Orthodontics also from the survey they ask their patients to know how well they are performing while he is undergoing his teeth care with them. If you have to choose somewhere to take yourself or your children I highly recommend Dr. Veit and his team. You won’t be disappointed.

Best experience at any orthodontist I've ever had
We've have had a wonderful experience with our oldest thus far! Even when it comes to our son having some struggles with proper brushing etc. Doc was great at giving extra pointers to avoid further issues. We are almost done with his treatment plan and most definitely will be back with our youngest if it's needed! Thank you for all that you do!
Kind and helpful staff. Easy to work with. Very clean and organized.
Everyone is so nice and I smile with confidence
Great for all ages, looking forward to continuing to visit the team at Bright!
Great orthodontic experience. Great staff. Transparent treatment plan. Great experience.
Today was my last day with braces, as happy as I am to have them off and not to mention how amazing my results were. I am also sad because the time is coming where I no longer get to visit my orthodontic office. They all truly have been a piece of me over the past 2 years and I honestly looked forward to going to all of my appointments. I first heard about Bright Orthodontics back in April of 2023 and a year later I got braces on at 36 years old. My smile has always been something I’ve been self-conscious about. Even though others would say it “wasn’t that bad,” to me it was. On top of that, I’ve always had pretty big anxiety when it comes to anything dental. But from the moment I stepped into Bright Orthodontics, everything changed. The office is so welcoming, bright, and fun—you’re greeted with smiles everywhere you look. Dr. V has such a soft, gentle approach and is truly knowledgeable in everything he does, which instantly put me at ease. Every single person there is so friendly and genuinely happy, and you can feel that energy the entire time you’re there. I never feel like just another appointment—I always leave feeling good. They truly have something special, and I can’t say enough amazing things about this team. If you’ve ever considered orthodontic treatment—whether for your kids or even yourself—do it. Adults can absolutely have braces too, and I highly recommend reaching out to Bright Orthodontics. Thank you Dr. V and the entire Bright Ortho team! I can’t stop smiling 😁
I had a great experience with Bright Orthodontics! I came in for Invisalign retreatment after not wearing my retainer from previous orthodontic treatment years ago. The doctor and staff were amazing—friendly, professional, and made every visit easy and comfortable. My Invisalign treatment went smoothly, and I even finished a few months earlier than expected. If you’re looking for an orthodontist for Invisalign, braces, or overall smile correction, I highly recommend Bright Orthodontics. I’m so happy with my results!
I have the pleasure of being treated at Bright. The staff is so professional and helpful from when you walk in the door. It has a friendly family environment and you can see that they really hold value to their practice. I couldnt be happier with my entire experience that ive had. I used to have large gaps between my teeth and I thought that my smile fit well with my character. However, that was just because I was used to it since I never thought about getting it corrected. After the first consultation, I knew that I was going to go through the process. I was given the opportunity to either go the route of braces or Invisalign. I chose the latter and im so happy that I did. I was given very clear, easy, and capable instructions. All I had to do was follow-up and my progress speaks for itself. I'm so happy that I went with Bright. If you're in doubt, just go see for yourself. It's 100% worth it

Frequently Asked Questions

Orthodontic treatment is a personalized process. These questions can help you better understand your options and what to expect.

We are in Fond du Lac. Our office is at 200 S Marr St, with its own phone number, (920) 922-9220. Dr. Veit sees patients here. Oshkosh, Ripon and Berlin are separate Bright Orthodontics offices, and you are welcome at any of them, but Fond du Lac families are treated in Fond du Lac.

Around age seven is the usual answer, and it comes from the American Association of Orthodontists. At that age the first adult molars are in and Dr. Veit can see how the bite is developing. Most children that age need nothing yet. The visit simply tells you whether to act now or wait, which is worth knowing either way. Read more about early orthodontic treatment.

Yes. Dr. Veit treats aligner cases at all four offices, and he completed the four-month Aligner Intensive Fellowship, an advanced training program focused on clear aligners. Dr. Veit is also a Gold Invisalign Provider. Whether aligners suit your case is a clinical question, and we will answer it honestly at the first visit. Our Invisalign page covers the details.

Bring your plan details to the first visit and our team will help you check the orthodontic benefit before treatment starts, so you know what to expect. Orthodontic coverage usually works differently from regular dental coverage, often as a lifetime benefit rather than a yearly one. See our orthodontic financing page.

Yes, and families do it often. Your records are shared across all four offices, so an adjustment visit in Oshkosh or Ripon is no different from one here. It helps when a work schedule changes, when a teenager starts driving, or when a family moves within the region. Just ask when you book.

If you have wondered whether it is time to have someone look at your child’s bite, the next step is simple. It is a short conversation with Dr. Veit. He will look, explain what he sees in plain language, and tell you honestly whether treatment is needed now, later or not at all.
