Orthodontist in Oshkosh, WI

Bright Orthodontics is at 1850 West Pointe Dr on the west side of Oshkosh. Dr. Adam Veit is a board-certified orthodontist, and he treats children, teens and adults here. Care includes braces, LightForce® 3D-printed braces and Invisalign® clear aligners. Call (920) 233-2222 to request an appointment.

Oshkosh is our home office and our flagship. It is also the busiest orthodontic market we work in, which means Oshkosh families have real choices. We would rather earn the visit than assume it. Our office is on West Pointe Dr, off the Highway 41 corridor, about three minutes from Oshkosh West High School. If you have been looking for an orthodontist in Oshkosh, here is what we offer and what makes us different.

Why Oshkosh Families Choose Bright Orthodontics

  • 176 reviews, and still 5.0 stars. Our Oshkosh office holds a 5.0 star Google rating across 176 reviews. All four Bright Orthodontics offices hold 5.0 stars, across 272 reviews in total. Holding a perfect rating that long, in a market this size, is the part we are proudest of.
  • A specialist practice, owner operated. Bright Orthodontics is not a chain and not a group practice with a rotating schedule of visiting doctors. Dr. Veit is the doctor. You will see him at your appointments, and he will know your case without reading it fresh each time.
  • The full week, in one place. The Oshkosh office is open Monday through Friday. If your child needs a repair, a retainer check or an unplanned visit, this is usually the fastest place to be seen.
  • Four offices, one set of records. If a week gets complicated, you can be seen at our Fond du Lac office, our Ripon office or our Berlin office instead. Same doctor, same plan, same records.
  • Straight answers about money. Braces are a real investment, and vague answers help nobody. We explain the fee, the payment options and the likely insurance coverage before treatment starts, and we offer family discounts when more than one person in a household is treated. See orthodontic financing.
  • Technology that earns its place. Digital scanning instead of impression trays. 3D-printed custom brackets. Aligner planning by an orthodontist with fellowship-level aligner training. We adopt tools that make treatment better or more comfortable, not tools that simply look modern.

Finding Our Oshkosh Office

We are at 1850 West Pointe Dr, on the west side of Oshkosh, just off the Highway 41 corridor. US-41 is the main north and south route through the region, and it connects Oshkosh with Neenah and Menasha to the north and Fond du Lac to the south. WI-21 is the east and west route, and it is the road most families from Omro and points west are already on.

If you know the west side, these are the landmarks nearest our door.

Nearby landmarkDistance from our officeTypical drive
Oshkosh West High Schoolabout 0.6 milesabout 3 minutes
Festival Foods on Westowne Aveabout 1.6 milesabout 5 minutes
Aurora Medical Center Oshkoshabout 1.7 milesabout 5 minutes
University of Wisconsin Oshkoshabout 2.4 milesabout 7 minutes

Every one of those is a drive of under ten minutes. In practice it means the appointment fits into a normal errand, not a special trip across town.

West 9th Ave is the other arterial most west-side families use, and it feeds the same corridor. If you are coming from Fond du Lac or Ripon, US-41 brings you straight up. If you are coming from Neenah or Menasha, it brings you straight down. Either way, you exit on the west side rather than crossing the river, which saves time.

About Oshkosh, the Community We Serve

Oshkosh sits where the Fox River meets Lake Winnebago. It is a city of about 67,000, the largest in our four-office footprint, and the commercial center of the region.

It is also a city with two clocks running at once. There is the settled, family-driven Oshkosh of school calendars, hockey practice and Friday nights. And there is the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, which keeps thousands of students in town and pulls the city’s median age nearly a decade below our smaller markets. Both show up in our chairs. We treat ten-year-olds in early treatment and twenty-two-year-olds finishing a degree, often in the same afternoon.

The retail gravity here is real too. The Shops at Oshkosh sit on the Highway 41 corridor, the Outlet Shoppes draw shoppers from the whole region, and downtown Oshkosh runs gallery walks, farmers markets and music through the year. Families from Ripon, Berlin and the smaller towns come to Oshkosh anyway. Fitting an orthodontic visit into a trip they were already making is often the easiest way to do it.

Water is the thread that runs through all of it. The Fox River cuts the city in two and empties into Lake Winnebago, the largest lake inside Wisconsin. Summer here is boats, shore fishing and the long light off the water. It is also the reason our region hangs together at all. Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Berlin are all lake or river towns, and the same families move between them for work, school and sport.

That is part of why the Oshkosh office anchors the practice. It is the office people can reach from anywhere in the footprint, and the one with the widest schedule.

We also see families from Neenah, Menasha, Omro, Winneconne, Appleton, Kaukauna and Little Chute at this office.

A Board-Certified Orthodontic Specialist

Dr. Adam Veit is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Certification is voluntary. It is not required to open an orthodontic office, which is exactly why it means something that Dr. Veit chose to earn it.

His training is not the usual small-city résumé. Dr. Veit earned his DDS at the University of Minnesota. He completed a full orthodontic residency through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program, and a master’s degree at the Uniformed Services University. He practiced in the United States, Japan and Italy. He served nine years as a Naval Officer before bringing the practice home to Wisconsin.

Orthodontics is the only thing he does. He does not clean teeth or fill cavities. He spends every working day moving teeth and guiding jaw growth.

That matters more in Oshkosh than it might elsewhere. Several practices here offer aligners or braces alongside general dentistry. It is a fair option and families should weigh it openly. The plain difference is depth of training. A general dentist looks after the whole mouth. An orthodontist trains for years past dental school in one narrow field. When a case turns out harder than it looked at the consult, that depth is what you are paying for.

You do not need a referral to see us. Many Oshkosh families call us directly. Our why choose us page compares the two paths, and our board certification page explains what the credential involves.

Orthodontic Care at Our Oshkosh Office

Every smile is unique, which is why Bright Orthodontics provides customized orthodontic solutions for children, teens, and adults. From traditional braces to advanced clear aligner treatment, we’re committed to delivering comfortable, efficient care with lasting results.

Braces for children and teens

Metal braces still handle almost every case, and they work around the clock because they never come out. Today's brackets are much smaller than the ones parents remember. Clear ceramic brackets are an option for teens who would rather not advertise it. Start with our braces overview, then compare the types of braces.

LightForce 3D-printed braces

LightForce brackets are 3D printed for one patient, from a digital scan of that patient's own teeth. Dr. Veit designs a bracket for each individual tooth instead of choosing from a standard tray. The material is translucent, so brackets blend with tooth color. Planning is fully digital, so there is no impression putty. Our LightForce braces page explains how it works.

Invisalign clear aligners

Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and wires. You take them out to eat and to brush, and you change sets on the schedule Dr. Veit sets. Aligners suit many cases and not all of them. You will get a straight answer about yours at the first visit. See our Invisalign page.

Early treatment for younger children

The American Association of Orthodontists suggests a first check-up around age seven. Most seven-year-olds need nothing yet, and being told to come back next year is a good outcome. For the smaller group who do need help, catching a crossbite or a crowded arch while the jaw is still growing can simplify later treatment. See early orthodontic treatment.

Teens and adults

Teens are the classic orthodontic patient, and we plan around school photos, sports and band instruments. Adults are a growing share of the practice. Adult treatment is often quieter and shorter than people expect. See teen treatment and adult orthodontics.

Adult Orthodontics

Adult orthodontic treatment improves alignment, bite function, and overall smile appearance using modern techniques designed for comfort, efficiency, and long-term stability.

"Bright Orthodontics is absolutely amazing! They are fantastic with little kids and know exactly how to make them feel comfortable and at ease in the chair. The entire staff is incredibly understanding and patient with all our questions. I love how open and transparent they are about the treatment processes, so there are never any surprises. On top of the stellar care, their services are actually affordable, and they work with you to make it fit your budget. Highly recommend them to any family in Wisconsin looking for top-notch orthodontic care!"
I am glad that I chose Bright Orthodontics, Dr. Veit and his team, for my son’s braces and jaw expansion. They are always so welcoming and helpful when we arrive for appointments and when I call to ask questions about any concerns I may be having, as this is my first time having a child who has had to have braces. The other great thing I love is that they have in house financing available with an affordable down payment that works with your budget to pay for this investment in your child’s new smile or even yours. I have attached my son’s written review on what he thinks of Bright Orthodontics also from the survey they ask their patients to know how well they are performing while he is undergoing his teeth care with them. If you have to choose somewhere to take yourself or your children I highly recommend Dr. Veit and his team. You won’t be disappointed.
We absolutely LOVE Dr. V and bright orthodontics!!! They were incredible with my son, Wesley, and his smile is just perfect! My daughter Claire is now a patient there, and she says they are all so kind and fun! She looks forward to every appointment!

This place always makes me smile! every one here is so cheerful and there’s great service! they really care and love to help!
Best experience at any orthodontist I've ever had
We've have had a wonderful experience with our oldest thus far! Even when it comes to our son having some struggles with proper brushing etc. Doc was great at giving extra pointers to avoid further issues. We are almost done with his treatment plan and most definitely will be back with our youngest if it's needed! Thank you for all that you do!
Kind and helpful staff. Easy to work with. Very clean and organized.
Everyone is so nice and I smile with confidence
Great for all ages, looking forward to continuing to visit the team at Bright!
Great orthodontic experience. Great staff. Transparent treatment plan. Great experience.
Today was my last day with braces, as happy as I am to have them off and not to mention how amazing my results were. I am also sad because the time is coming where I no longer get to visit my orthodontic office. They all truly have been a piece of me over the past 2 years and I honestly looked forward to going to all of my appointments. I first heard about Bright Orthodontics back in April of 2023 and a year later I got braces on at 36 years old. My smile has always been something I’ve been self-conscious about. Even though others would say it “wasn’t that bad,” to me it was. On top of that, I’ve always had pretty big anxiety when it comes to anything dental. But from the moment I stepped into Bright Orthodontics, everything changed. The office is so welcoming, bright, and fun—you’re greeted with smiles everywhere you look. Dr. V has such a soft, gentle approach and is truly knowledgeable in everything he does, which instantly put me at ease. Every single person there is so friendly and genuinely happy, and you can feel that energy the entire time you’re there. I never feel like just another appointment—I always leave feeling good. They truly have something special, and I can’t say enough amazing things about this team. If you’ve ever considered orthodontic treatment—whether for your kids or even yourself—do it. Adults can absolutely have braces too, and I highly recommend reaching out to Bright Orthodontics. Thank you Dr. V and the entire Bright Ortho team! I can’t stop smiling 😁
I had a great experience with Bright Orthodontics! I came in for Invisalign retreatment after not wearing my retainer from previous orthodontic treatment years ago. The doctor and staff were amazing—friendly, professional, and made every visit easy and comfortable. My Invisalign treatment went smoothly, and I even finished a few months earlier than expected. If you’re looking for an orthodontist for Invisalign, braces, or overall smile correction, I highly recommend Bright Orthodontics. I’m so happy with my results!
I have the pleasure of being treated at Bright. The staff is so professional and helpful from when you walk in the door. It has a friendly family environment and you can see that they really hold value to their practice. I couldnt be happier with my entire experience that ive had. I used to have large gaps between my teeth and I thought that my smile fit well with my character. However, that was just because I was used to it since I never thought about getting it corrected. After the first consultation, I knew that I was going to go through the process. I was given the opportunity to either go the route of braces or Invisalign. I chose the latter and im so happy that I did. I was given very clear, easy, and capable instructions. All I had to do was follow-up and my progress speaks for itself. I'm so happy that I went with Bright. If you're in doubt, just go see for yourself. It's 100% worth it

Frequently Asked Questions

Orthodontic treatment is a personalized process. These questions can help you better understand your options and what to expect.

We are at 1850 West Pointe Dr, on the west side of the city, close to the Highway 41 corridor. Oshkosh West High School is about half a mile away and Festival Foods on Westowne Ave is about a mile and a half. If you can find either of those, you are within a few minutes of our door. Parking is on site at the office.

Monday through Thursday we are open 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. Early slots are worth asking about when you book if you want to avoid missing school or work.

Yes, and more than people assume. About one in five orthodontic patients nationally is over 21. In Oshkosh that includes university students, working adults finishing something they put off, and parents who start treatment alongside a child. Adult cases are often shorter and less visible than expected. See adult orthodontics.

Often, yes. Our latest weekday appointments run to 5:00 pm, and Oshkosh West High School is about three minutes away. Tell us at the first visit which time of day works best for your family, and we will build the schedule around it where we can. Most patients in braces are seen about every six to eight weeks.

Bring your dental insurance information and any recent dental X-rays if you have them. Bring your questions too, especially about timing and cost. You do not need a referral from a dentist. Dr. Veit will examine the teeth, explain what he sees in plain language and tell you whether treatment is needed now, later or at all.

Request an Appointment at Our Oshkosh Office

The first visit is a conversation, not a commitment. Dr. Veit will look, explain what he sees, and give you an honest answer about timing. If nothing needs doing yet, we will say so and see you in a year.
