Meet Dr. Adam J. Veit, DDS, MS, Board-Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Adam Veit is a board-certified orthodontist. He owns Bright Orthodontics, and he treats patients at all four of our offices. Those are Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Ripon and Berlin. He grew up in Fond du Lac. He trained across the United States and abroad, then came home to practice.

He has practiced in three countries: the United States, Japan and Italy. He has worked next to orthodontists trained all over America. That range gives him something you cannot buy. He has watched which methods hold up over years of real cases. He has also watched which ones were just the fashion of the moment. Patients get the benefit of that filter without ever hearing about it.

Dr. Veit started at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He earned his dental degree at the University of Minnesota. His orthodontic training came through the military. The Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program draws its cases from across the armed services. He earned a master’s degree in oral biology alongside it.

Board Certification

Dr. Adam Veit is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Certification is voluntary. No state requires it. To earn it, he handed his own finished cases to a panel of board-certified orthodontists. They judged the quality of the work.

It is one of the few times in a career when someone else grades your results, not your intentions. Our board certification page explains the process. It also shows how to check any orthodontist’s status yourself.

Nine Years in Uniform

Dr. Veit spent nine years as a Naval Officer. He worked with Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers and their families. He lived in Japan, Texas and Italy while he did it.

Military dentistry is its own kind of training. Patients arrive from everywhere. Nobody picks the easy cases, and you finish what you start. That is where the three-country experience comes from. It is also a large part of why he is at ease with cases other practices send away.

How Dr. Veit Treats Patients

He keeps up on purpose. He takes continuing education courses. He stays active in orthodontic groups where doctors compare real cases with each other.

Two examples of where that leads. Dr. Veit finished the four-month Aligner Intensive Fellowship, an advanced program in clear aligner treatment. Dr. Veit is also a Gold Invisalign® Provider. And he uses LightForce® custom braces, where each bracket is 3D printed for one tooth from a digital scan. See our Invisalign and LightForce braces pages.

He is also honest about what treatment asks of a family. Braces take time, money and patience, from parents and patients both. He works hard to keep the investment in a brighter smile as affordable as he can. And he would rather tell you to wait a year than start something you do not need yet.

“It is an honor to be able to brighten smiles and build relationships in this caring community. Seeing someone take joy in life with the confidence of a transformed smile is what I strive for every day.”

Outside The Office

Dr. Veit was born and raised in Fond du Lac. He is the son of Kirk Veit, a retired pediatrician and Medical Director of Agnesian HealthCare. A lot of Fond du Lac families know the name. Growing up around that kind of practice shapes how a person thinks about care, and it shows in how he runs this one.

His wife, Rachel, was raised in Mankato, Minnesota. She is a skilled graphic designer. She is part of the practice too, and you will find her on our team page. Their three children are Vitasha, Brody and Austin. All three are energetic and love attention, so please say hello if you see them out and about. The family is glad to be near relatives, and glad to raise their children in a community with shared values.

Outside the office he snowboards, boats, surfs and wake surfs. He also trains in mixed martial arts. He hunts, fishes, camps and travels. He is looking forward to meeting you, and to finding out what the two of you have in common.
