Orthodontist Serving Wautoma, WI

Bright Orthodontics treats Wautoma patients at our Berlin office, about 21.6 miles and 28 minutes east on the Highway 21 and Highway 49 corridor. Dr. Adam Veit is a board-certified orthodontist and treats children, teens and adults there, with braces, LightForce® 3D-printed braces and Invisalign® clear aligners.

Wautoma is the Waushara County seat, a city of roughly 2,200 people that a whole county drives into for the things counties do. Families here are practiced at the calculation this page is about: what is worth doing locally, and what is worth going a little further for.

Twenty-Eight Minutes East, on the 21 and 49 Corridor

Our Berlin office is about 21.6 miles and 28 minutes from Wautoma. Highway 21 runs east and west through Wautoma and crosses Highway 49 in Waushara County; that is the corridor, verified at that level and not described in any more detail than we have actually checked.

Our Berlin office runs on the same records as our Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Ripon offices, with the same doctor at all four. If a week goes badly and Berlin does not work, another door in the practice opens onto the same chart.

What a Board-Certified Specialist Actually Is

The word “orthodontist” gets used loosely, so here is exactly what stands behind it. Every orthodontist finishes dental school first. A specialist then completes two to three additional years of full-time residency in a single subject, the movement of teeth and the growth of jaws, and afterwards does only that work.

Board certification is a further step, and it is voluntary. The American Board of Orthodontics requires an orthodontist to submit finished cases to a panel of board-certified orthodontists and let them be judged. Dr. Veit holds it. His training ran through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program and a master’s degree at the Uniformed Services University, and he practiced in the United States, Japan and Italy across nine years as a Naval Officer.

None of that matters on its own. It matters when a case is not simple, which is where the difference between “we can do braces” and “this is all we do” turns into a different result.

The Part Nobody Warns You About: After the Braces

Most orthodontic pages stop at the day the brackets come off. That day is not the end, and out here it matters more than it does in a city.

Teeth are held in their new positions by bone and soft tissue that need time to settle, and they will drift back if nothing holds them. That is what retainers are for, and retainer wear is measured in years, not weeks. A retainer that is lost, broken or left in a school lunch bag is a genuine problem, and every month it goes unreplaced is movement you paid to correct.

For a family 28 minutes out, the answer is to plan for it. Keep the retainer in its case, tell us the moment one goes missing rather than at the next scheduled visit, and treat a replacement as a normal part of the arc rather than a failure. Our retainers page explains how retention works.

Care Across Waushara County

The Wautoma Area School District serves about 1,300 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 across four schools, with Wautoma High School on South Cambridge Street. Between the school district and the county offices, the city pulls in families from well beyond its own 2,200 residents.

Children get a first orthodontic check around age seven, as the American Association of Orthodontists suggests, and most of those visits conclude that nothing needs doing yet. Teenagers make up the bulk of treatment. Adults are a growing share, and Dr. Veit is a Gold Invisalign Provider who will say plainly whether clear aligners suit a given case. See Invisalign.

"Bright Orthodontics is absolutely amazing! They are fantastic with little kids and know exactly how to make them feel comfortable and at ease in the chair. The entire staff is incredibly understanding and patient with all our questions. I love how open and transparent they are about the treatment processes, so there are never any surprises. On top of the stellar care, their services are actually affordable, and they work with you to make it fit your budget. Highly recommend them to any family in Wisconsin looking for top-notch orthodontic care!"
I am glad that I chose Bright Orthodontics, Dr. Veit and his team, for my son’s braces and jaw expansion. They are always so welcoming and helpful when we arrive for appointments and when I call to ask questions about any concerns I may be having, as this is my first time having a child who has had to have braces. The other great thing I love is that they have in house financing available with an affordable down payment that works with your budget to pay for this investment in your child’s new smile or even yours. I have attached my son’s written review on what he thinks of Bright Orthodontics also from the survey they ask their patients to know how well they are performing while he is undergoing his teeth care with them. If you have to choose somewhere to take yourself or your children I highly recommend Dr. Veit and his team. You won’t be disappointed.
We absolutely LOVE Dr. V and bright orthodontics!!! They were incredible with my son, Wesley, and his smile is just perfect! My daughter Claire is now a patient there, and she says they are all so kind and fun! She looks forward to every appointment!

Best experience at any orthodontist I've ever had
We've have had a wonderful experience with our oldest thus far! Even when it comes to our son having some struggles with proper brushing etc. Doc was great at giving extra pointers to avoid further issues. We are almost done with his treatment plan and most definitely will be back with our youngest if it's needed! Thank you for all that you do!
Kind and helpful staff. Easy to work with. Very clean and organized.
Everyone is so nice and I smile with confidence
Great for all ages, looking forward to continuing to visit the team at Bright!
Great orthodontic experience. Great staff. Transparent treatment plan. Great experience.
Today was my last day with braces, as happy as I am to have them off and not to mention how amazing my results were. I am also sad because the time is coming where I no longer get to visit my orthodontic office. They all truly have been a piece of me over the past 2 years and I honestly looked forward to going to all of my appointments. I first heard about Bright Orthodontics back in April of 2023 and a year later I got braces on at 36 years old. My smile has always been something I’ve been self-conscious about. Even though others would say it “wasn’t that bad,” to me it was. On top of that, I’ve always had pretty big anxiety when it comes to anything dental. But from the moment I stepped into Bright Orthodontics, everything changed. The office is so welcoming, bright, and fun—you’re greeted with smiles everywhere you look. Dr. V has such a soft, gentle approach and is truly knowledgeable in everything he does, which instantly put me at ease. Every single person there is so friendly and genuinely happy, and you can feel that energy the entire time you’re there. I never feel like just another appointment—I always leave feeling good. They truly have something special, and I can’t say enough amazing things about this team. If you’ve ever considered orthodontic treatment—whether for your kids or even yourself—do it. Adults can absolutely have braces too, and I highly recommend reaching out to Bright Orthodontics. Thank you Dr. V and the entire Bright Ortho team! I can’t stop smiling 😁
I had a great experience with Bright Orthodontics! I came in for Invisalign retreatment after not wearing my retainer from previous orthodontic treatment years ago. The doctor and staff were amazing—friendly, professional, and made every visit easy and comfortable. My Invisalign treatment went smoothly, and I even finished a few months earlier than expected. If you’re looking for an orthodontist for Invisalign, braces, or overall smile correction, I highly recommend Bright Orthodontics. I’m so happy with my results!
I have the pleasure of being treated at Bright. The staff is so professional and helpful from when you walk in the door. It has a friendly family environment and you can see that they really hold value to their practice. I couldnt be happier with my entire experience that ive had. I used to have large gaps between my teeth and I thought that my smile fit well with my character. However, that was just because I was used to it since I never thought about getting it corrected. After the first consultation, I knew that I was going to go through the process. I was given the opportunity to either go the route of braces or Invisalign. I chose the latter and im so happy that I did. I was given very clear, easy, and capable instructions. All I had to do was follow-up and my progress speaks for itself. I'm so happy that I went with Bright. If you're in doubt, just go see for yourself. It's 100% worth it

Frequently Asked Questions

Finding orthodontic care that fits your routine and travel needs is an important part of the process. Here are some questions patients often consider before beginning treatment.

Call us as soon as you know, because speed genuinely matters here. Teeth begin to drift within days of retention stopping, so a retainer replaced quickly usually still fits the result you paid for, and one replaced months later may not. We would much rather hear from you on the day it happens than at the next appointment.

To find out what kind of case it is, which is not the same question as whether treatment is needed. Dr. Veit is deciding sequence, timing, appliance and whether growth should be used or waited on. Two children with similar-looking crowding can need quite different plans.

Less than most families expect. Check-in visits are short and spread across the months rather than crowded together, and we can often place them at the ends of the school day. Tell our team you are driving in from Waushara County and we will aim for the slots that cost you least.

Start From Wautoma

The first appointment is an assessment and a conversation. Dr. Veit will explain what he sees, in plain language, and tell you honestly whether treatment is needed now, later or at all.
